Abha Dam Lake Parks
Abha Dam Lake Parks are located west of the city on the banks of the lake formed by Abha Dam, with wide green spaces suited to outings and family gatherings in the midst of nature. Abha Dam was rebuilt in the reign of King Faisal and opened in 1394 AH / 1974 CE to hold flood waters coming down from the mountains. It is about 350 metres long and 30 metres high, and its lake holds more than two million cubic metres of water, making it one of the most prominent natural landmarks of Abha.
