Al Soudah

Al Soudah is a mountain tourist destination in the Asir region, about 20 kilometres from the city of Abha. It lies at an altitude of nearly 3,000 metres above sea level, and its mountains are covered with dense juniper trees that form stunning natural forests. Al Soudah overlooks the Tihama region, so magnifying viewers have been installed in some parts as viewpoints for watching the lowlands, valleys and neighbouring villages on the Tihama plains. It is known for its mild climate in summer and cold climate in winter compared with the surrounding areas. It includes Al Soudah Tourist Village with its varied services, and is linked to Rijal Alma village in Tihama by cable car. Near Al Soudah lie the villages of Bahat Rabi'ah, which include Al Muhtatabah Park, known for its natural waterfalls and the lakes formed by flowing water and rainfall, and King Abdulaziz Park lies north of Al Soudah, with its natural scenery and varied services for visitors.
