Al Shareef Museum

Al Shareef Museum is one of the museums of the Makkah region in Taif Governorate, founded by Ali bin Khalaf Al Shareef. It is a national museum inside a large traditional building covering 5,000 square metres and holds a large collection of heritage pieces of every kind, function and material that represent the heritage of the Taif region. The museum contains a small market made up of a group of stalls or shops, with each shop devoted to a particular craft and fitted with the tools and equipment of that craft. It also has halls for each group of items, such as weapons, with swords, rifles, daggers and spears in a hall of their own, coffee utensils in a dedicated place, cooking vessels in another, and farming tools, clothing and women's jewellery.
