Al Basta Historic District

Al Basta is one of the old neighbourhoods of Abha that still keeps the fragrance and simplicity of the past. It is a heritage district made up of a group of old buildings and archaeological forts, some dating back to the Ottoman era. On a visit you will find a public square and some old traditional shops. Al Basta lies on the banks of Wadi Abha in the city centre and is linked to the other bank of the city by an old Ottoman bridge built in the Ottoman period.
