Masjid Salman Al Farsi
Masjid Salman Al Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) is one of the mosques and prayer places of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in Madinah, according to the best verified accounts, and is the second of the Seven Mosques in the Khandaq area north-west of the Prophet's Mosque. The mosque is attributed to the noble Companion Salman Al Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him), who proposed digging the trench and advised the Prophet (peace be upon him) to do so to protect Madinah from the invasion of the Confederates in the fifth year of the Hijra. It is one of the Seven Mosques that mark the command and stationing positions of the Muslims during the Battle of the Trench, and visitors to Madinah seek it out to learn the story of that enduring battle and the role of the Companions in it.
