Jammaa Al Jumma Al Gharbiyah
The Western Jamma is Jamma Al Aqir (also known as Jamma Al Aqil), one of the three jammas overlooking Wadi Al Aqiq west of Madinah. It lies to the north-west of Jamma Tadhari and Jamma Umm Khalid and is the farthest of them from the city, about nine kilometres from the Prophet's Mosque, and it is also the largest and most massive of the jammas. Several palaces were once built at its foot along Wadi Al Aqiq, the most famous being the palace of Jafar ibn Sulayman.
