Uthman Ibn Affan Farm Well
The Uthman ibn Affan Farm and Well is one of the old historical and archaeological landmarks of Madinah, in the north-west of the city, about five kilometres from the Prophet's Mosque, at the bottom of the blessed valley known as Wadi Al Aqiq, near the Al Sayl complex. It is a very old farm containing the well that Uthman ibn Affan bought as a donation for those in need. The whole farm has been cared for throughout the ages and planted with various crops such as date palms, along with many nurseries for vegetables and fruit spread across the farm. The farm became the first waqf (endowment) in the history of Islam.
