Badwah Valley Dam Lake
Badwah Dam was built in 2002 to replenish groundwater wells, provide drinking water for the local people and make use of the water resources of Wadi Badwah. It is a concrete dam, 92 metres long and 30 metres high, with a storage capacity of more than two million cubic metres. The Municipal Council of Al Namas Governorate approved a number of proposed projects, including developing Badwah Dam Park, having the municipality equip it and prepare it for investment, and linking it by a dual carriageway from the centre of the governorate to make it a distinctive tourist destination.
