Namas Museum
Namas Archaeological Museum is located in the old quarter, beside a number of old castles and forts with creative designs. The museum holds everything connected to the heritage of the region, including more than 2,000 artefacts. The museum has five floors. The first floor holds the agricultural tools the locals used in the past, along with a model of an old well and the traditional methods of drawing water from it. The second floor contains household tools of the past, including appliances such as the telephone, the iron and the television. The third floor houses old weapons such as rifles, spears and daggers of every kind, as well as the heads and horns of hunted ibex and gazelles, and a section of Saudi and foreign banknotes and coins. The fourth and fifth floors hold women's jewellery and adornments for the hands and ears, and all kinds of old women's clothing. The museum also has a corner for stones with inscriptions, the oldest of which dates back to the first century AH, along with many old manuscripts and documents.
