Al Khulsa Dam in Billasmar
Al Khulsa Dam was built in 1431 AH to replenish groundwater, provide drinking water for the area's residents and make use of the water resources in the catchment area. Its barrier is of the concrete type. The dam is 60 metres long and 19 metres high, with a storage capacity of more than 240,000 cubic metres. The dam also helps control floods and raise the water level in the shallow and artesian wells on which farmers depend to irrigate their farms.
