Al Manakha Heritage Museum in Umluj
Al Manakha Heritage Museum was established in 2015 by Dr Musaad Salama Al Fayidi in the city of Umluj. It has an exhibition covering 8,000 square metres, and its permanent collection includes important antiquities, a historical library, clothing, folk heritage, old cars and many other items that reflect the long history of Umluj. The museum is named Al Manakha because camels would "tanukh", meaning kneel down, beside this site, as it lies next to an ancient spring.
