Al Azlam Castle
Al Azlam Castle lies in Wadi Al Aznam, south of the city of Duba, and was one of the stations on the Egyptian Hajj route during the late Islamic period. It consists of a large courtyard, interior units, rectangular and semicircular rooms, and a reception hall (diwan). The castle is built of dressed limestone, and its courtyard opens onto all the interior units, which include the rooms. It covers 1,500 square metres, stands very close to the main road linking Duba and Al Wajh, and is now surrounded by a wall to protect it.
