Maghayir Shuaib
Madain Shuaib, also called Maghayir Shuaib or Midian, is an archaeological town of houses and temples carved into rock and mountains, in the Hejaz region of western Arabia, now near a town called Al Bid' in the Tabuk region. It resembles the ruins of Al Hijr (Madain Salih), and some archaeologists believe it dates to the second millennium BC. Its inhabitants belonged to the tribe of Midian. Midian is mentioned several times in biblical texts. The Holy Quran mentions that the Prophet Moses took refuge with its people and married into them, that the dwellings of Midian were close to the dwellings of Thamud at Al Hijr, and that God sent to the people of Midian a prophet from among them, Shuaib (peace be upon him), to urge them toward honest trade. They refused to heed his call to believe in God and give up sinful ways.
