Edge of the World
Edge of the World is a set of towering rocky heights overlooking a deep valley, a rare natural landmark shaped by time. The viewpoint dates back about 50 million years, when the area was the bed of a vast sea covering the Arabian Peninsula as far as the Levant. It shows traces of river channels and long-dry waterways that stretch for hundreds of kilometres and draw beautiful patterns across the broad plains, along with many kinds of fossils, sculpted forms and striking carvings formed by natural forces on the valley rocks, which tell of the conditions the region lived through and the successive eras it has seen.
