Ash Shu'ara heritage village

The people of Ash Shu'ara centre, part of Dawadmi Governorate, have revived the history of the old houses, mosque and shops by restoring them and turning them into a tourist village, with gates built on all sides because of their historical importance and in line with the efforts of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage to develop heritage villages. The village has witnessed important historical events, including the battle of the people of Ash Shu'ara with the Ashraf in 1205 AH (1791), the Battle of Sufah in 1319 AH (1901), and the Ash Shu'ara Conference, called by King Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, and held on Thursday 1/5/1348 AH.
