The old Deira

The heritage village has the Emirate Palace, an architectural masterpiece built in the Islamic style of architecture, and the historic Mughairan Fort. On the western bank of Wadi Marakh there is a site with many inscriptions and drawings carved on isolated rocks, dating from between 900 BC and 400 AD.
