Raghadan Forest Park
Raghadan Forest is the forest that distinguishes Al Baha and the southern region, for the density of its trees and its greenery. Its climate is mild throughout the summer. It lies west of Al Baha Region and overlooks the Tihamah region and the King Fahd Pass in Al Baha. Mist climbs the high Sarawat mountains into the forest, especially in the early morning and in the afternoon and well into the night, so the atmosphere here in summer ranges between mild and rainy winter. Adding to the enjoyment of the forest, besides its great height, are its many viewpoints over the depths of Tihamah and its deep valleys, into which the King Fahd Pass descends as one of the important arteries of the region linking its Sarawat highlands with its Tihamah lowlands. The density of the vegetation is another dimension of the forest's beauty, with juniper and talh (acacia) trees and some small shrubs, shade by day and a gentle breeze at night.
