Al Safa Historic Mosque

Al Safa Historic Mosque stands in the middle of Baljurashi Governorate, about 27 km from the city of Al Baha. It is one of the oldest mosques in the region, more than 1,350 years old, and its door bears the date 46 AH. Its construction is attributed to the Companion Sufyan bin Awf, may God be pleased with him. The mosque was built of local granite stone with juniper-wood columns, and it was included in Prince Mohammed bin Salman's Project for the Development of Historic Mosques, which aims to preserve its authentic architectural character.
