The museum is a large farm with many heritage buildings made of mud and mud brick and roofed with tamarisk wood. Its collection is displayed in the rooms of these buildings and in the passages between them in a well-organised way, hung on the wall, in aluminium display cases, on wooden stands or on shelves. The museum's contents include men's and women's clothing, cooking, food and drink vessels, coffee vessels, lighting tools and incense burners, and a collection of war equipment and weapons including rifles, swords, daggers and spears, as well as farming and irrigation tools, some school supplies, books and manuscripts, and some coins. The display is sometimes used to portray certain trades and old family customs. In addition to the museum, the farm has a zoo with many kinds of domestic and tame wild animals, including predators.
