Mashqouq Palace
Mashqouq Palace, also known as Al Radi Palace, is in the centre of Qusaiba north of Buraydah, and its construction began in 1250 AH. The palace is built of mud and stone, with a roof of tamarisk wood and palm fronds. Its walls are about 15 metres high and it is surrounded by a wall, with majlis rooms, a mosque and other rooms. It is called Mashqouq ("split") because it was built over the course of a spring whose channel was cut underground to bring water to the palace's well.
