Al
Al-Dhil' is one of the oldest historic quarters in Sakaka, at the foot of the hill topped by Zaabal Castle in the northwest of the city. Together with the castle and the nearby Sisra Well, it forms a complete heritage ensemble. The quarter is known for its adjoining houses of mud and stone, built in the architectural style once common in Al-Jouf, some with two storeys, and for its many alleys, some roofed with palm fronds and tamarisk branches. The quarter has been redeveloped as one of the region's heritage destinations, and it is recommended to visit it together with Zaabal Castle to enjoy the views over Sakaka.
