Lil Madi Athar Heritage Museum
"Lil Madi Athar" is a private heritage museum in Rafha Governorate in the Northern Borders region. It was founded by local resident Sayyah Qasim Al Shammari after many years of collecting rare pieces since childhood, and it welcomes both locals and tourists. The museum holds thousands of varied items, including old weapons, swords and shields, pottery and handicrafts, coins and traditional costumes, as well as old cars and devices and exhibits documenting how life has developed in the Kingdom, and the "amariyah", the litter once carried on camels' backs. The museum reflects the heritage of the Northern Borders in particular and of the Arabian Peninsula in general.
