Camel Site
The Camel Site northeast of Sakaka features life-size relief carvings of camels and other animals on rock. A published scientific study suggests it may be one of the oldest sites of life-size animal reliefs in the world, dating back thousands of years. The site is fenced and visits require a prior permit, so it is advisable to coordinate with the relevant tourism and heritage authorities in Sakaka before heading there. Suitable for those interested in archaeology and ancient history.
