Shajarat Al

Shajarat Al-Durr is one of the best-known Egyptian restaurants in the Eastern Province, and its Dammam branch on Khaleej Road overlooks the sea. It serves home-style Egyptian dishes such as molokhia, okra, stuffed vegetables, rice tagine, hawawshi and stuffed pigeon, along with mixed grills of kofta, kebab and ribs. It suits families and groups and gets busy in the evenings and at weekends, so go early. Prices are a little above average but the portions and service are worth it. Opening hours: Daily 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM; Thu–Fri until 2:00 AM.
