Bab Samhan: Agricultural Model

The agricultural model in Al Suraiha draws its features from the old orchards of Wadi Hanifah, where people used to grow palms on three levels depending on the nature of the land. As rehabilitation work in the valley continues in the coming years, this traditional method will be revived through earthen irrigation channels and organic farming that suits the nature of the place. This approach aims to enhance biodiversity and soil health, and gives visitors the chance to experience a living picture of Diriyah's agricultural past.
