Al Murayih District
At the far south of Diriyah, Al Murayih is the last of its residential districts on the eastern bank of Wadi Hanifah, near Al Bujairi and opposite the historic At-Turaif district. With its fertile land and abundant water, agriculture flourished here, and its lanes have seen vibrant life since the earliest days. During the First Saudi State, the district was a center of learning and generosity, and a retreat where locals came to relax in the shade of its palms and gentle breeze. Its historic landmarks, such as Al Murayih Mosque and Talaat Quraywah, still bear witness to its history, while the rhythms of the Saudi Ardah and the Samri art express the depth of the cultural heritage the place holds. Today, the Diriyah Nights program lights up Al Murayih once again, carrying the fragrance of the past and shining with the spirit of the present, offering visitors a cultural experience that celebrates authenticity and reflects the beauty of history rooted in the heart of Diriyah.
