Abu Sarrah Palaces

Abu Sarrah Palaces are among the most prominent historic architectural landmarks in Abha. They consist of three main palaces built by Sheikh Abu Sarrah, who was known for his wealth and influence in the region. It is said that he had more than 45 wives, which shows in the many wings and rooms inside the palaces. The palaces were built of natural stone and clay in the traditional Asiri style, and today house interior museums displaying old costumes and tools, along with shops selling souvenirs and handicrafts. Local guides give introductory tours explaining the details of life in that era and the stories of the palace.
