Madinah Research Center
The Madinah Research and Studies Center was established on the perpetual charitable endowment of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God have mercy on him, who chaired its board. Successive princes of Madinah then led it, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him, when he was Crown Prince in 1432 AH. In 1436 AH, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, became chairman of the center's board of trustees. The center aims to contribute to studies and research about Madinah, to lead in making information and research about the city available, to develop knowledge of its history and civilisation, and to cooperate productively with local and international research centres, experts and researchers. It lies south of Madinah on King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road, about 5.4 kilometres from the Prophet's Mosque.
